The 4th Portfolio Egypt Conference 2019
Opportunities Blunted by Risks
Non-banking financial services sector is stepping forward strongly and steadily in the Egyptian market to be one of the most salient investment destinations at the current phase.
This is manifested in attempts to expand existing entities, and the emergence of new operators as well as introducing legislation and regulations, which enhance opportunities for growth
This coincides with explicit government's interest in supporting the stock market through developing an integrated program for state-owned companies IPOs, which is being implemented. The IPOS program would result in attracting capitals and new investors and encouraging entities from the private sector to join listed companies, as well as developing the capital market through launching new trading mechanisms.
Despite optimism surrounding many players in the sector, some risks still loom ahead such as emerging market crisis and its impact on the region, and the future of exchange rate, which would affect all financing areas and investing decisions.
